Failed is useful only when it comes with the next move.

Six words, one account

The private work view now uses six states: Queued, Working, Waiting, Completed, Failed and Needs you. The same labels are supplied to voice and to the brief rather than being translated separately on each surface.

Queued work is ready to start. Working has begun. Waiting depends on a time, person or external condition. Needs you cannot proceed without a decision. Completed and Failed are outcomes rather than disappearing rows.

Failure returns with a move

A call, booking chain, podcast or overnight research item that exceeds its expected window is shown as Failed. The page names what happened and gives a concrete next step. Failed podcasts and overnight research can be retried or dropped there; calls, bookings and other outward work continue through review and confirmation.

The next brief carries the first failure and that recovery move without waiting for the person to check a dashboard. Recurring routines also show their cadence, latest outcome, last run and next local run. Pending outward actions still wait for an explicit yes; a state label never widens authority.

An approved email chase now keeps one work record from draft through send and waiting. A provider receipt proves the follow-up left; a clear reply completes the work, while seven days without one records failure instead of quietly dropping the thread.

A private-pilot retrieval can now be cancelled, exported or forgotten on its own. Cancellation removes pending continuation work and returns a receipt; it cannot recall a telephone call that has already started. Forgetting an active retrieval cancels it before removing its case record.

The private-pilot boundary

This state language is available in the private pilot across the work page, voice responses and text briefs. Recent terminal outcomes remain visible for seven days, while source-specific records and receipts remain the operational truth.

Live recovery-flow verification is still required. The release makes stopped work visible and actionable; it does not claim that every retry will succeed.
