Mostly it just glows.
The face has one light on it. Unbroken means listening, broken means the microphones are off, dark means asleep. That is the whole language most of the day, and you are meant to read it without stopping.
The same line writes one thing.
Saint speaks first. The line writes only what is easier to read than to hear: who is calling when you cannot be spoken to, a gate or a code you must not mishear, the one line above a swipe. Then it is a line again. There is no clock, no count, no menu and nothing to scroll.

Five parts. Each does one job.
Colour-matched dielectric
We match the cap to the selected rear colour. The cap must remain non-conductive; the coating recipe and antenna performance still need validation.
Hard-coated optical polycarbonate
We use a full-length glossy black cover with a flat face and rounded edge. The constellation and single rounded light strip show through it.
Three, with a speaker and a private receiver
We keep three matched microphones, one public speaker and one private receiver you raise to your ear. The chamber work is still on the bench.
Its own cellular connection
We give it an LTE modem and a built-in eSIM, so it is designed to work without your phone. We publish the country list before the first instrument ships.
We design it to listen only in a state you have put it in. A physical control cuts power to the microphones and the camera, and the face shows when it is listening. This is design intent, not tested hardware.
Where this stands
We accepted the gloss and matching-colour direction on 6 September. These views show our appearance target. They do not qualify a finish process or resolve the open antenna placement conflicts.
Nothing on this page is production hardware, a finish standard or a comfort claim. The service does not need the instrument and is live today.
